Marvels & Tales

Here’s an interesting peer-reviewed journal to peruse when you have time:

Marvels & Tales

According to their website, “Marvels & Tales provides a central forum for fairy-tale studies by scholars of literature, folklore, gender studies, children’s literature, social and cultural history, anthropology, film studies, ethnic studies, art and music history, and others.”
When I read it (well, when I read the free executive summaries, because the full articles cost $5 each), it feels very accessible because the authors are discussing fairy tales, but it also makes me feel very academic because I am being guided through some very deep thoughts about these children’s stories. It’s a great feeling, and a great journal.
